Frentubo Brake Hose Kits

Frentubo brake hose kits replace original equipment rubber brake hoses in original brake system configurations only.  If your bike originally used rigid brake pipe at the calipers (or on the long run from front to rear on integrated brake models) these kits expect you will reuse the rigid brake pipe.  The replacement hoses in these kits replace the rubber hoses only.

Make Your Own Stainless Braided Brake Hoses

Earl's stainless steel braided brake line and various fittings allow you to cut and assemble your own replacement brake lines.  Superior to rubber lines, these don't stretch and expand under pressure, and they provide better braking feel.  Clear plastic outer covering prevents steel braid from abrading other surfaces.  Banjo fittings use threaded compression fittings that attach securely to hose using ordinary hand tools.  No special tools are required.  It is recommended to use one adjustable fitting and one non-adjustable fitting per line to eliminate twists in the line and ease assembly. The adjustable fittings allow the banjo head to swivel before tightening.   Depending how you plumb it, 30 degree fittings work well in most instances, particularly at calipers and master cylinders.  Straight fittings sometimes work better at some junction block locations, 90 degree is also occasionally useful, and is an alternate at the caliper.

Goodridge Brake Hoses and Fittings

Another way to make your own stainless braided brake hoses.

DOT Approved Goodridge Brake Hoses

These quality DOT approved brake hoses are great updates and replacements for the OEM brake hose used on Guzzis.  Available in many pre-assembled lengths, with the exception of the screw on banjo fitting of your choice.  PTFE inner and braided stainless steel outer significantly reduces line flex and gives firmer lever feel as compared to rubber hoses.  Clear plastic outer covering protects surrounding parts from abrasion.  Bright chrome plated banjo fittings.  In addition to not requiring more tedious assembly, these hoses offer two other bonuses in that the chrome plated fittings look nicer, and the hoses feel more flexible than the other brands.  Order by measuring the length of your existing brake lines, and note the angle of the banjo fitting required to fit your specific application.  Typically, the 35 degree bend banjo fitting is used on all applications, but sometimes a straight or 90 degree fits a little better.  The hose length below is the length of actual line between the fittings.  Similar hoses are also available in black, they cost a little more, and they are not DOT approved.
