B10 Grind Camshafts for Early Big Twins
Original Moto Guzzi camshafts reground to provide the increased lift and duration of the B10 performance cam. The well known B10 cam was originally offered as part of the "Engine Powering Up Kit" for racing purposes for 850LeMans, and was subsequently used as the original cam for the big valve square fin motors as found in LeMans1000, some California III models and some 1000S models. The B10 profile cam provides a reasonable power boost at low and high rpm on small valve and medium valve motors while maintaining normal drivability characteristics such as smooth idle, easy on the valve train, and fuel economy. These cams are considered a drop in for most small and mid-valve models excepting I-Convert, although it is always necessary to check clearance especially with cylinders and connecting rod bolts just to be sure. New or reconditioned tappets are normally considered necessary. New valve springs are normally considered necessary, especially for high rpm use. Our cams are professionally reground by Colt Cams in Langley, BC.
14053340T - LeMans cam - $159.95
fits 850T/T3/G5/SP1000/MilleGT/Cal2/Cal3
13053340NT - Ambassador & Eldorado cam - $159.95
Your good condition existing cam is required for core exchange. The core charge is $100 and is refundable upon receipt of a like cam in serviceable condition. Refinished tappets (aka cam followers, lifters) are available only with a new cam purchase at $15 each, a core exchange is required.
17045860 Replacement tappet (cam follower, lifter), most 2 valve big twin models after 1975 $35.99
28058060 OEM Italian Regina brand timing chain, continuous with no weak master link $68.95
13058200 Timing chain tensioner, aftermarket automatic "blade type" $24.50
This is a true spring loaded automatic timing chain tensioner rather than a rubber guide block, known examples have gone in excess of 100,000 miles
30057810 OEM timing chain tensioner $105.95
special order only
30055300 OEM camshaft belt, all 4 valve models Daytona/Centauro $59.95
MG555 Stucchi helical timing gear set, aluminum alloy $325.00
for most carbureted models with oil filter equipped crankcases.
Timing gears with smaller, helically cut teeth offer superior engagement for improved resistance to wear. Known examples of these gears sets have exceeded 100,000 miles of use.
Also available modified for all 1100 injected models - HELICALINJ - $340; fitment to P8 computer models and some models with flywheel timing pickup possible by using additional trigger plate - ACERPL8 $115 (not shown).
MG204 Stucchi alloy straight cut timing gear set $320.00
High quality, twice the tooth count of other aftermarket sets, for better engagement, less noise and longer service life
Timing belt kit for carbureted big twins with distributors
Another alternative to chains and timing gears. Very exact ignition and cam timing for precise engine tuning. Very quiet, less friction loss compared to sprockets. Cam pulley locating dowel holes are calibrated to allow precise adjustable cam timing. By locating the dowel pin in successive holes cam timing is advanced or retarded. Eccentrically adjustable idler wheel allows precise belt tension adjustment, accounts for variations in spacing between cam/crank centers. High-tech belt has high tensile strength, long service life and shows minimal wear while running in oil. Recommended belt replacement interval is 20-25,000 miles, although we're aware of examples with no problems after running well over double that.
53020 kit for carbureted big twins with distributors and oil filter blocks - $475
