International Orders and Shipping
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards only. Sorry, we are not able to accept PayPal or international wire transfers. We are not able to alter invoicing to show lower values for customs or tax purposes.
Our shipping policy is based on the premise that all packages must be insured to cover loss and damage, and must be traceable. In all situations, we cannot assume responsibility for shipping problems once the package leaves our premises. Once the package leaves our premises, the responsibility for your package becomes that of the carrier. United Parcel Service (UPS) has proven to be the most responsible, accountable, and reliable carrier.
MG Cycle has signed a new agreement with United Parcel Service (UPS), who has made a new offer to capture our international shipping business. This new agreement is very competitive with the postal service in the vast majority of instances. Under our new agreement, the cost to our international customers for packages sent UPS Expedited or UPS Express is reduced to 50% of the UPS published rates. Therefore, the cost estimate that you see on the UPS website (www.ups.com) is approximately double the actual cost that you will be charged.
Keep in mind that shipment cost depends on your address as well as the weight and dimensions of the final package which cannot be determined until your order is packaged and prepared for shipping, therefore, the estimate is an estimate and is not actual. For this reason, we are unable to provide you with a shipping cost estimate.
Shipping cost estimates are available at the UPS website www.ups.com. Another benefit for our customers in countries with Customs clearance agreements with UPS (particularly Canada) is that for shipments sent via UPS Expedited or UPS Express, UPS is able to clear customs themselves, negating the approximately $40 brokerage fee that deliveries sent via UPS Standard to Canada are normally subject to. Because of this, shipping via UPS will save the majority of our international customers both time and money. There is one condition that will result in less than a 50% savings for some of our customers. For delivery addresses in remote areas (for example: addresses far from metropolitan areas or island locations) are sometimes subject to the UPS "remote area delivery surcharge" of US$20. These instances are rare, but regretfully they do occur. Regardless, we are confident the additional service level provided by UPS is worth the additional cost.
