early transmission such as 4speeds, and 5 speeds in Eldorados and 850T used a grey colored plastic sleeve to seal the push rod. Guzzi later updated the plastic sleeve with 2 of these conical rubber seals. The early transmissions that used the plastic sleeve have enough room to accommodate 3 of these conical seals, and you may use 3 if you wish.
