Description

Ikon brand progressively wound fork springs. These fork springs are an upgrade replacement for all V11 California models 1998-2013 which includes California EV, Jackal, Stone, Bassa, California Special, and California Vintage. Ikon fork springs allow full suspension travel and work to alleviate excessive sag and nose dive while contributing to improved stability, ride control and comfort. Progressively wound springs have altered coil spacing to provide both a smooth ride and progressively firmer response to larger road irregularities and loads. Tighter coils respond to minor inputs providing soft initial fork travel, wider spaced coils offer greater resistance as tighter coils are fully compressed. Note: the V11 California  series used the same basic Marzocchi forks throughout the model range,  but some models have different internals that allow damping adjustments,  and others do not. To account for this, some models use long springs  with short preload spacers, and other models use short springs with  long preload spacers. These Ikon springs are "relatively short" at  approximately 283mm (~11.125") and are suitable for use in both fork  versions. To account for differing fork internals, you must provide  an appropriate length preload spacer (commonly PVC pipe) to maintain  your original ride height. Depending on your skill set, you may need  to seek professional assistance for installation. A short installation  guide is included.

NOTE: these fork springs are special order items.  Please read store policies regarding special order items.
