Description

New Ikon Basix series shock absorbers offer the proven quality and engineering of Ikon products, but in a lower priced package.

This version is approximately 13.5 inches long (eye to eye) and fits the early "long" swingarms as found on most California models from 1984 - 2001, including California II, California III, California 1100 1994-1997, California EV 1998-2001, California Jackal, and California Stone, Stone Metal, and Stone Touring 2001-2005

Ikon Basix shocks feature chrome plated steel bodies, fixed rate damping, 3 position adjustable pre-load and black powder coated progressive rate springs. These shocks offer a long service life, yet are fully rebuildable, and are sold as a pair. The preload adjustments allow the rider to select from light for solo riding, medium for two up comfort and/or more spririted riding, and heavy for two up and/or heavy loads. Ikon Basix shocks feature fade resistant fixed rate damping. These shocks feature progressive rate springs that provide a wider load range than fixed rate springs, giving you a shock absorber with a wider range of capabilities. There is a long history of good results with the selected spring rates, however if you have concerns about extraordinary weight requirements heavier or lighter springs are available.
