Notes regarding model listing: Some of the models listed above came from the factory with single plate clutch systems, which do not use the 12082901 pressure plate. Some of these single plate clutches are still on the road. Many of these models were later fitted with factory recall supplied dual plate clutch kits due to problems with the original single plate sytems. These replacement clutch kits DO use the 12082901 plate. For these models, it is therefore nessecary to indentify exactly what clutch system is installed on the motorcycle. For reference purposes, the following models came from the factory with single plate clutch systems, but may have been changed back to the dual plate clutch:

California Aluminum, California Titanium, California Stone, Californa Stone Touring, 2003 and later Californa EV. These California models came from the factory with single plate clutches up to and including engine number KN14809. Subsequent production used dual plate clutches, starting with engine number KN14810.
