Layshaft nut, left hand thread. This is the left hand threaded nut on the front of the output shaft that comes loose and if you're unlucky, cuts a hole into the bell housing. Any time the transmission is out you really ought to double check to be sure this nut has not loosened up. Used on 5 speed Big Twin Guzzi transmissions.
