83mm 850cc Piston/Cylinder set for 850 T, T3, T4 & Eldo (850GT)

Alternative to the Gilardoni set that was under part # MG305. Complete cylinder set up for 850T, T3, T4, and V7 GT (Eldorado). This item completes one cylinder (2 sets needed to complete an engine). This is a high quality new production kit comprised of pistons from Italian manufacturer Meteor and piston rings from Italian manufacturer Caber with Nigusil plated cylinder bore.  Kit includes 1 piston, 1 cylinder, 1 set of piston rings, 1 wrist pin, and 2 wrist pin circlips.  Complete new cast aluminum cylinder is a direct replacement with no modifications required. The cast piston maintains the original displacement and compression ratio of these models.Requires use of MG260 head gasket with oval push rod holes, sold separately. Or also sold separately top end gasket kit 1302KITB for a complete installation. Installation tip:  For 850 Eldorado, it is important to verify that the push rods do not contact the cylinder or the cylinder head or the head gasket prior to final installation.  Loosely assemble all components and rotate the engine through 4 strokes several times while inspecting each push rod through all 4 strokes using a flashlight to visually inspect.  Depending on the combination of cylinder heads and rocker arms, some combinations are more likely to require additional clearance than others.  Increased clearance is quickly and easily obtained by use of a rat tail file.
